Renewable Energy & Infrastructure

Our projects in the renewable energy sector include solar farms, onshore wind farms, cabling and battery storage facilities. We offer support through Ecological Impact Assessment as well as advice on Biodiversity Net Gain and habitat management. We have worked on some challenging sites, including a solar farm on a Local Wildlife Site which was granted permission.
We have experience of working on major infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges and railway lines. Our involvement has included habitat surveys, Ecological Clerks of Work, protected species licensing and specialist consultancy on bats and severance of bat habitat and connectivity. Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA) for infrastructure schemes is crucial for projects with the potential to have an effect on wildlife and ecosystems at a landscape scale.
We provide a range of ecological services including Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA), Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) Assessment and specialise in Protected Species Licensing.
We provide specialist ecological surveys ranging from initial scoping surveys to detailed botanical surveys and protected species surveys, specialising in bats.
At Windrush Ecology we are proud of our wide range of projects and the challenges and opportunities that they have provided. Here are selected few case studies.
