Manor House, Guiting Power, Gloucestershire – Bat Surveys & Bat Licence Application

Windrush Ecology has been deeply involved in the renovation and extension of a historic manor house in the Cotswolds. Our involvement was necessary as the house contained maternity colonies of serotine bats and brown long-eared bats, as well as a day roost of common pipistrelle bats.

Following on from the surveys, we successfully applied to Natural England for a bat licence, securing that the roosts were retained and protected, whilst allowing for the renovation and modernisation of the house.
