Manor Barn, Yattendon, Berkshire – Bat Survey

Windrush Ecology has been involved in bat surveys at Manor Barn in Yattendon in Berkshire, where there is a maternity roost and hibernation roost of Natterer’s bats. The suite of surveys included hibernation surveys of the timber frame using an endoscope, as well as a number of dusk emergence watches during the summer months.

Subsequent to the surveys, we have been working closely with the client to formulate a mitigation strategy to maintain the bat roosts in situ whilst facilitating the use of the barn as an events space.
