Harleyford Marina, Buckinghamshire - Habitat Survey

Harleyford Marina near Marlow in Buckinghamshire approached Windrush Ecology to undertake a habitat survey and subsequent Ecological Management Plan for their new marina extension.

The project involved creative design and advice on habitat enhancements including new tree and shrub planting, grassland creation, deadwood habitats and riverbank habitats for water voles.

This piece of work lead on to a bat survey of the derelict boathouse which the marina owns along the River Thames in Buckinghamshire, and the production of a bat mitigation strategy for its renovation and redevelopment.
